The experience begins with a guided tour through the winery, where guests are introduced to Zema Estate’s winemaking philosophy, traditional methods and estate-grown approach. Guests then enjoy access to a private area showcasing over 60 years of Zema family history, providing insight into the people and stories behind the wines.
The tour includes a curated tasting of six wines: four current release wines alongside two museum Estate wines, offering a rare opportunity to compare vintages and styles. The tasting is complemented by a light grazing platter featuring local produce, allowing guests to relax and savour the experience.
This private experience is available by booking and is subject to host availability, with confirmation provided within 24 hours. Whether enjoyed as a special occasion or a highlight of a Coonawarra visit, this tour delivers an intimate, informative and memorable wine experience.

The Private Tasting: Winery Tour + Family Selection Range is designed for passionate wine lovers seeking a deeper connection with Coonawarra and one of its most enduring family wineries.
Your experience begins with a guided tour of the working winery, led by a member of the Zema family or the winemaker. Guests gain insight into Zema Estate’s winemaking philosophy, traditional practices and the meticulous care taken from vineyard to bottle.
Following the winery tour, guests are welcomed into a private and secluded space within the winery, home to a collection of historic photographs, trophies and memorabilia that document more than 60 years of the Zema family’s winemaking journey in Coonawarra.
Here, guests enjoy a curated and personalised tasting featuring current release wines alongside rare museum selections from both the Estate and Family Selection ranges. The tasting is tailored to individual preferences and includes the opportunity to purchase back vintage and current release wines at member pricing. A light gourmet grazing platter is included as part of the experience.
