The Coochiemudlo Island Flinders’ Day Markets provide a great family day out. Drive to Victoria Point and take the eight-minute ferry across to Coochiemudlo Island.
A short walk from the ferry on the foreshore, you will find the markets with various stalls, including arts and crafts, fashion, homewares and food.
Every year on the Sunday closest to the historic date of Matthew Flinders’ landing on Coochiemudlo Island (July 19, 1799). With a great re-enactment, market stalls, navy cadets and kids’ activities – join the celebration!
Enjoy morning tea or lunch at the Curlew Cafe (BYO) or the Coochie Beach Bar – Licenced. Have a swim or take a walk around the island and enjoy the Emerald Fringe and wetlands. Visit the Coochiemudlo Artisan Collective Gallery.
