Discover the city from a whole new perspective! The Story Bridge is Brisbane’s most iconic structure and the best way to see Brisbane is by climbing it! We are based at Howard Smith wharves, the most lively entertainment and dining precinct in Brisbane
The Story Bridge Adventure Climb experience offers a unique perspective of the city and its surrounds, from the Glass House Mountains in the north to Moreton Bay in the east and stretching towards the Scenic Rim Mountains in the south, along with the best views of the Brisbane skyline and its surrounds. As one of only a very few bridge climbs in the world, Story Bridge Adventure Climb offers an original adventure.

Actively welcomes people with access needs.
General access
- Offers multiple options for booking – web, email, phone is available.
- Companion Cards are accepted.
- Staff are trained in disability awareness.
- Accessibility information and photos, including of a bathroom, room and/or floor plan on their website (can be emailed on request).
- Asks all visitors if there are any specific needs to be met.
- Advise tour guides of the access needs of guests at the time of booking (includes pick up and drop off requirements)
- Assistance with booking arrangements (includes providing clear itineraries with written instructions on what to do at various destinations)

Caters for people who are blind or have vision loss.
- Information in audio format (includes an audio described map of their venue, audio descs of performances and/ or displays) is available.
Physical – Mobility
Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids)
- Uses non-slip tiles in the bathroom or slip resistant matting
- Seating in common areas including reception area
Physical – Wheelchair
Caters for people who use a wheelchair.
- A step free main entrance to the building and/or reception area (includes ramps or slopes with a maximum gradient of 1:14, otherwise are too steep for wheelchairs)
- Step free access to the conference or function room
- Doorways which are easy to open and have lever handles (doorways 850mm or wider when open and not heavy).
- An accessible public toilet which is unlocked.
- A wheelchair accessible toilet / shower and change room is available.
- Wheelchair access to amusements and activities including boats and bush trails (includes tour rides, skyways, trolley cars, flying fox, amusement rides and boating).
- Portable hoist is available.

The iconic Story Bridge Adventure Climb has relocated to the North Side of the Bridge at Howard Smith Wharves, offering a fresh perspective on the stunning city! As one of only three bridge climbs in the world, this must-do adventure now includes the historic North Arm Climb, open to the public for the first time ever. This exciting move creates a seamless experience for climbers, blending thrilling heights with world-class dining and entertainment at Howard Smith Wharves.
They are now located between Crystalbrook Vincent Hotel and Betty’s Burgers.
From dawn to dusk and twilight climbs, you’ll experience breathtaking views of Brisbane’s skyline, the Glass House Mountains, Moreton Bay, and the Scenic Rim. The expert climb leaders will keep you engaged with fascinating stories of Brisbane’s history, making every step an unforgettable moment.
The Story Bridge Adventure Climb is a premium, family-friendly experience for climbers from the age of 6.
