If you’re on the search for the perfect place to stay during your journey in Derby look no further. Choose from their two-bedroom Bank House B&B, a renovated 1888 heritage listed bank in the centre of town, or their modern and well equipped one bedroom Cabin (or you can book both if you have a larger group!).

Two bedroom suite with lounge room & private bathroom
The Bank House suite sleeps four people and includes 2 queen beds (four poster), Wi-Fi, TV, fireplace, reverse cycle AC, wine glasses, board games, access to the garden & outdoor setting.
Recently renovated bathroom with large shower, double vanity and underfloor heating.
The bank house isn’t fully equipped with a kitchen. We do however have all tea and coffee facilities and a bar fridge for you to indulge in your ideal knock-off after a hard day on the trails. You can even put a record on and jam out to The Ramones or one of our many other records in our collection in front of the open wood fire.
As a true B&B you can enjoy the perks of a fully cooked breakfast every day of your stay (if you choose to include it in your package).
The suite is not suitable for children 14 years and under due to the nature of the building
We have lockable bike storage.
We live in the downstairs section of the main house, but we respect the privacy of our guests and will leave you to your own devices unless you need a hand. There is a lockable door between the two areas.
Derby Bank House Cabin
Located at the rear of The Bank House with private access, The Cabin makes for the ideal launch pad for any adventure being only a few minute’s walk to popular eateries, the iconic floating sauna, walking tracks, heritage and natural attractions.
If you’re an eager Mountain Bike rider you’ll be pleased to note that the trailhead and bike wash area are within a few minutes’ ride from The Cabin.

The Cabin features one bedroom with two long single beds and open plan living.
Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen including an oven, induction cooktop and dishwasher.
The bathroom includes underfloor heating for those cold Tasmanian nights plus a shower and washing machine.
Our private balcony features egg chairs looking out towards the large walnut tree which is covered in fairy lights.
A mud room with steady racks is available for your mountain biking gear.
Access to the property is available so you can drive right up to your door.

Stay and soak: outdoor wood-fired bath
Soak in a 6-foot wood-fired tub under the old ornamental cherry tree amongst the gardens of your heritage-listed accommodation. Winter’s crisp air makes the warm water feel even more indulgent as you settle in beneath the tranquil fairy lights well into the evening – a romantic Off Season experience. This is complimentary for our B&B guests 1 May–31 August 2026. Due to the time it takes to fill and heat the tub, mention the code ‘OFFSEASON’ in the comments and request section when booking.
