The Desert Mob Marketplace is a buzzing art market, bringing together paintings, punu, ceramics, weaving, sculpture, textiles and merchandise from Aboriginal-owned art centres across Central Australia. The marketplace offers Desert Mob attendees the opportunity to acquire works directly from the artists who created them. The day includes demonstrations, workshops, performances and other activations across the precinct, along with food and coffee.
The Desert Mob Marketplace is presented as part of Desert Mob, one of the nation’s most anticipated Aboriginal art events. Desert Mob will take place in Mparntwe (Alice Springs) and comprises of an exhibition, artist talks, public programs, satellite events and activations.
Desert Mob is proudly presented by Desart, the peak arts body for Central Australian Aboriginal Arts and Crafts centres.
