Uncover the science of glass blowing in this Hotshop demonstration. Visitors will have a firsthand look at the process of shaping molten glass using traditional tools and techniques. The tour will explore questions such as:

What is the chemistry of glass and how does that affect its colour?

What happens when glass is cooled too quickly?
Why is teamwork so important in the Hotshop?
After a glass-blowing demonstration in the Hotshop, visitors will have the opportunity to get hands-on and create their own glass tile. Visitors will cut, design and arrange glass to make their own kiln-formed tiles. Postage of tiles is included.
