Eighteen Mile Cottage and Homestead offer quality holiday accommodation in gorgeous Darlington, Queensland. Come holiday in either the charming two-bedroom cottage or sprawling six-bedroom homestead.

Both houses are positioned centrally and separately on an expansive (500 acre) beef cattle farm surrounded by beautiful countryside, mountains plus a meandering river. All available for guests to explore, relax, and enjoy.

The homestead (sleeps 12-15) boasts three bathrooms, two lounge rooms, a self-catering kitchen, dining room, laundry, two outdoor dining areas, a large swimming pool, inside and outdoor fire areas, table tennis, barbecue and more.

The cottage (sleeps four) is nestled beside the Albert River with breathtaking views. Tastefully decorated and equipped with a large rear deck, self-catering kitchen, dining room, lounge room, bathroom with spa.

Over the past five decades, the family and owners of the property lived and operated a dairy farm followed by a beef cattle farm which continues to operate in the surrounding paddocks to date. Guests occasionally enjoy viewing the farm work in action during their stay.

Activities include bushwalking, campfire, swimming, bird watching, fishing, stargazing, board games, books, or exploring the local district including Christmas Creek.

Eighteen Mile Cottage and Homestead is 90 minutes from Brisbane and Gold Coast.

The homestead is a sprawling six bedroom, three bathroom, double brick house generous in size and comfort, sleeping up to 15 people in total.
Bedding consists of three queen beds, six single beds of which two can be joined as a king size, one queen sofa bed and one single foldout bed.

Boasting a large rear deck; in ground swimming pool; outdoor and indoor fire place areas; two lounge rooms, indoor table tennis, large barbecue and more.

Easy access to the Albert River which flows close from its source, the Lamington National Park.
