The Eva and Marc Besen Centre is a striking architectural addition to TarraWarra Museum of Art, designed by Kerstin Thompson Architects. Set on Wurundjeri Country in the Yarra Valley, the Centre brings together Visible Art Storage, a learning space, and a performance venue in one dynamic destination.
Visitors can experience a rich and engaging program of events and workshops within the space ranging from orchestral concerts to hands-on workshops. There are free activity tables set up for all ages, year round, as well as 46-metre display of 64 storage racks, holding over 300 artworks from the Museum’s iconic permanent collection, including rarely seen works by some of Australia’s most significant modern and contemporary artists.
For a deeper experience, book a Behind the Scenes Collection Tour. Available on Thursdays and Saturdays, these 45-minute ticketed tours offer rare access to the Visible Storage and insights into the collection’s history and care, and are guided by a TarraWarra team member.
Just over an hour from Melbourne, TarraWarra is a place where art, ideas and place meet.
