In this dynamic, hands-on workshop, participants will delve into the expressive potential of the human face by intentionally disrupting, rearranging, and reframing traditional portraiture. Through playful experimentation and guided techniques, the group will explore how fractured imagery can reveal the layered, shifting nature of identity.
Across the session, participants will work with a range of approaches, including collage, drawing, mixed media, and sequential portrait studies, to deconstruct the face and rebuild it in unexpected ways. By deliberately fragmenting and distorting familiar features, artists will uncover new visual pathways for representing changing facial expressions, and emotional states.
