Taking the Barossa to a whole new level, your introductory helicopter flight heads over scenic vineyards, the famous Jacob’s Creek and the Whispering Wall.

Walk through Hermann Thumm’s private collection of 250,000 bottles of wine at Chateau Yaldara, with a private tasting area for exclusive VIP treatment.

Langmeil Winery is home to the Freedom Shiraz, planted in 1843. Original plantings survive to this day and are some of the oldest and rarest Shiraz vines in the world. Enjoy wine tasting in the old horse stables.

Indulge in the land of long lunch culture. Showcasing generous, honest and flavoursome food designed around the seasons and the abundant choice in Barossa quality.

Wander Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop where her story began. This is the only place in Australia where you have the chance to see and try almost every Maggie Beer product. Take a look through the fondly named ‘studio’ where Maggie and Simon filmed The Cook and the Chef. This place is a taste sensation!

Monarto Wild Gin

Monarto Wild Gin

In 2018 Monarto Safari Park teamed up with Ambleside Distillers in Hahndorf to form an ambitious fundraising partnership. The inaugural ‘Kifaru Gin’ was inspired by native botanicals from the Monarto region and the limited edition of 500 bottles sold out. In early 2019 over AUD35000 from these sales had been pledged towards relocating southern white rhinos to Monarto.

This partnership was crafted with a rhino-sized vision in mind, and we now celebrate the success with a behind the scenes tour of both venues.

Take your sense of adventure to the next level as you experience Australia’s only 360 degree lion encounter, giving you a prey’s eye view into the world of these awe-inspiring predators. Enjoy a jaw-dropping, absolutely safe encounter knowing this hair-raising and unique experience will help Monarto Safari Park continue their work as a conservation charity raising awareness for all endangered species.

Travel to the famous township of Hahndorf to enjoy lunch at the acclaimed Haus Restaurant.

Meet Ambleside Distillers and learn about their passion for creating award winning South Australian Gin, raising over AUD90,000 for conservation. Taste the Wild Africa Safari Gin, and learn about previously sold-out limited edition Rhino and Hippo Gins.
