Saturday 17 & Sunday 18 October 2026 the SteamRanger Heritage Railway will be celebrating 40 years of “The Cockle Train”.

Since the non-for-profit volunteer organisation took over the Goolwa to Victor Harbour section of railway on 18 October 1986 it has grown into a South Australian icon.

SteamRanger invites you to celebrate with a weekend in the Fleurieu Peninsula as we put history in motion with a special showcase of steam, diesel and railcar services over the weekend.

Keep an eye out for full information and bookings for this event coming soon!
