If you’re a beer enthusiast keen on learning how to grow hops in your own backyard – this event is for you.

You will leave with a few crowns (hop plants) to plant yourself and everything you need to know about growing them at home. You’ll also get a complete ‘homebrew kit’ complete with our hop pellets, Voyager Craft Malt, Mogwai Labs yeast and a custom recipe exclusive to attendees.

This workshop at Ryefield Hops is aimed for those keen to start growing hops in their backyard or for those eager to learn more. You will walk away with knowledge about where to plant your hops, how to care for them during the growing season and how to process and store your hops at home. You’ll also get an in-depth tour of our field and processing shed to see how hops are grown on a commercial scale.

Ryefield Hops

Ryefield Hops is a family-owned business utilising ex-dairy farming land in the Bega Valley. They are dedicated to producing sustainable hops which are harvested in February each year then processed to send to craft breweries across Australia. There is also a sunflower field adjacent to the hop field for visitor experiences.

Ryefield Hops have agritourism opportunities on farm by offering tours, workshops, sunflower picking days and long table dinners.
