Joey Travel is a backpacker-focused hop-on, hop-off bus service along Australia’s East Coast, designed to make travelling simple, social, and flexible.
Running daily services between Byron Bay and Noosa, stopping at key spots like the Gold Coast and Brisbane, plus selected trips to Rainbow Beach.
You can book single legs or grab a multi-trip pass and travel at your own pace. Beyond transport, organising waterfall trips, hikes, and local experiences that are hard to reach without a car.
Their goal is to build a genuine travel community — not just move you from A to B, but help you experience the best of the coast.

Easy coast Hop on Hop off pass
The Joey Pass is designed to give you total flexibility while travelling the East Coast. Instead of locking in fixed dates, you purchase a 1, 3, or 6-trip pass and use your trips when you’re ready. Simply log into our web app, choose your next destination, and book your seat.
You can hop on and off between Byron Bay, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Noosa, and selected Rainbow Beach services, travelling at your own pace. There’s no pressure to rush — stay longer if you love a place, or move on when you’re ready.
It’s simple, flexible, and built for backpackers who want freedom without the stress of rebooking transport every time.
