Join us for a thrilling ½ Day Jumping Croc Cruise on the Adelaide River, one of Darwin’s most iconic experiences. We travel 60 km southeast to the Marrakai wetlands, a rich habitat home to saltwater crocodiles, 117 reptile species, and 280 bird species.
This adventure brings you up close to powerful saltwater crocodiles as they launch from the water to snatch food from the boat. Operated by one of only four licensed operators in the region, the tour combines excitement with safety and education. Experienced local guides share insights into crocodile behavior, habitats, and survival strategies, ensuring a fascinating experience.
The cruise also showcases other wildlife, including barramundi, white-bellied sea eagles, whistling kites, bull sharks, and black flying foxes, offering an immersive nature encounter.
On the return journey, we stop at the legendary Humpty Doo Hotel, a Northern Territory icon with outback charm, famous giant buffalo horns, and a friendly atmosphere—an ideal spot for a cold drink and a taste of local history.
Afterward, we return to Darwin, reflecting on a day of unforgettable wildlife encounters, cultural charm, and the dramatic landscapes of the Top End.

Spectacular Jumping Crocodile Cruise
Departing the city, we journey about 60km South East towards the Marrakai wetlands, home to not only an apex predator, the crocodile, but 117 different species of reptiles and 280 different types of birds. A truly exhilarating and unique experience for our guests to get up close and personal with some of nature’s most aggressive and dangerous wildlife located in the naturally occurring waterways of the Northern Territory. It is said that Australia’s Top End hosts over 100,000 saltwater crocodiles predominantly in and around the Darwin, Adelaide River and Mary River areas. So there is no need to worry, you be sure to See the biggest reptile in the world and oldest creature to walk the planet since dinosaurs, these prehistoric
beasts growing up to 6 meters in length (the size of a small bus) and can weigh up to 1000kg.
Our jumping crocodile cruise partners are highly trained to ensure the safety of both the crocodiles and passengers at all times. Crocodiles are fed buffalo meat so that guests can see first-hand the powerful and spectacular hunting techniques of a saltwater crocodile.
