Hammonds Road North Campground is in the beautiful Otway Forest Park near Anglesea and the Great Otway National Park. It is 1.5 hours drive south-west of Melbourne.
It’s just a short drive from beaches along the Surf Coast and can be accessed from the iconic Great Ocean Road.
Enjoy a rustic camping experience at this bush site, suitable for both vehicle and tent-based camping. The 12 large vehicle sites have individual fire pits while the tent camping fire pit facilities are shared. The site has a double toilet with disabled access and 2 picnic tables for campers to use.
From Hammonds, you can explore the walks and trails of the Otway forests. Venture into the woodland and catch a glimpse of the local wildlife, including koalas, kangaroos and native birds.
This free campground can get busy during peak holiday periods. Sites are available on a first come, first served basis.
Plan ahead and make sure to have a plan B if you visit during peak times, such as Hammonds Campground or Tanners Road Campground.
