Heritage Lounge brings the glamour and sophistication of the 1920s to the heart of Parramatta, delivering a sleek cocktail bar alongside an upscale Japanese restaurant. The establishment occupies an historic 1928 building of architectural significance; inside, décor is opulent and lighting is suitably dim. The atmosphere is electric. Signature cocktails come with gangster themed names – think, the Counterfeit Espresso, Bankers Charm, Laundering – while top-shelf spirits are on the menu in The Vault, an exclusive space where you can sip rare whisky while enjoying a spot of people watching.

When it’s time to dine, find a table in restaurant Oribu, headed up by chef Harry Cho. The food here puts a twist on classic Japanese fare, both in flavours and also presentation. Which means you might enjoy edamame with truffle oil, yuzu guacamole or salmon tartare tacos. Seafood fans will want to order the omakase (chef’s pick) platter, which features 60 pieces of the freshest scallops, oysters, salmon, tuna, that Cho can get his hands on.
