Poley’s Place is a working cattle property and primitive camping ground located on the banks of the beautiful Barrington River that offers country style accommodation near Gloucester. Open all year round, Poley’s Place is pet friendly and hosts Country Music Hoedowns over Easter and October long weekends.

Situated eight kilometres from Gloucester along the picturesque Thunderbolts Way, Poley’s Place comprises over 500 acres of rich grazing land including five acres of rainforest only a five-minute walk from the camping ground. For the fisherman the Barrington River is a great spot for fishing where there are perch, mullet, catfish and herring. Trout can be caught further up river towards the beautiful Barrington Tops.

You can enjoy camping, fishing, swimming in the river, canoeing, nature walks, bird watching, barbecues, tube riding over the rapids. There are hot showers, flushing toilets, an animal farm for children plus Poley’s Place is pet friendly!
