Keep your eyes peeled when travelling along the Hume Highway to spot the three custom-painted tank murals by local Wollondilly artist Joe Quilter and business partner Snarl.
The Tahmoor artist consulted with the community to design a perfect representation of the rural shire. Applied with spray paint, the art is a celebration of the Wollondilly as you enter the region.
Lendlease commissioned the artwork to give the tanks a makeover and a new lease on life to become the perfect statement showcasing a local dairy farmer, a lyrebird (the Dharawal totem) and a wedge-tailed eagle which is based on a photograph taken by Angela Towndrow.
The tanks are located near Wilton at the Picton Road turn-off.
Please note there is not a public viewing platform at the location, the artwork can be seen at a distance from the highway.
