Jim Barry Wines was named the 2020 James Halliday Winery of the Year from a field of over 2,500 wineries.

The late Jim Barry was a pioneer of the Australian wine industry. With his wife, Nancy, Jim built a successful wine business which has produced trophy-winning wines since its establishment in 1959.

Jim Barry Wines produce all of their own fruit from 17 locations in the Clare Valley totalling more than 320 hectares, along with a 14 hectare property at Coonawarra. This access to high-quality, estate-grown fruit has been instrumental in the development of a number of prominent brands, including The Armagh Shiraz, and The Florita Riesling. Jim Barry also produce Australia’s only Assyrtiko, a Greek variety that is native to the island of Santorini.

Their recently re-opened cellar door has been refined to ensure guests enjoy the ultimate Jim Barry experience.
The cellar door is open Monday to Saturday from 10 am-4 pm, however, they are unable to offer tastings to guests who haven’t booked.
