Kangaroo Island Seaview Motel is situated in the heart of Kingscote, the main township of Kangaroo Island . The motel is 45 minutes drive from the ferry terminal, offering a curated coastal-theme accommodation, overlooking the stunning Nepean Bay from our oceanfront rooms and the comfort of Kingscote rock pool just steps away.
Kangaroo Island Seaview Motel offers quiet, tranquil surroundings, yet is only a step across the road from shops, galleries and restaurants.
They are currently in the process of an exciting redevelopment of the property aiming to enhance guest experience and expanding our offering and rooms. Expecting to reopen late 2026.

Ocean Family Suite
The Ocean Family Suite is a large corner room located on the ocean side of the motel, making the most of those fabulous views over Nepean Bay!
There is an outdoor table setting on the seafront verandah with convenient parking at your doorstep.
Our newly renovated suite is recommended for families or group of fours. It is refigured with 2 bedrooms separate to living area. Queen bed in main and 2 single beds in second bedroom. Modern kitchenette with dining table and lounge area overlooking the bay. Brand new bathroom with large walk in shower, beautiful tiling and basin area.
Ocean View Room
This newly renovated Ocean front rooms boast breath-taking views of the ocean. With one double bed and one single bed, it is perfect for a couple or family/group of three. Spacious with an ensuite and basin area, our Oceanview rooms feature a cool modern design which is functional yet picturesque!
Garden View Room
The newly renovated Garden View Rooms look out to the sprawling courtyard and beautiful cafes on Drew Street. These rooms include two double beds which can sleep up to 4 people and are perfect for a family or group of 4.
Step outside to enjoy the shaded outdoor table area in the tranquil garden/barbecue area. Rooms facing Drew Street, but as the motel is on an elevated corner block obscured sea views are seen across garden from most rooms.
Mathew Flinders Apartment
On the second level is the fully serviced Mathew Flinders Apartment which features two bedrooms, lounge/dining, vanity area separate to toilet and shower. One queen-sized bed in the main room. One queen size bunk bed with a single bed above in the smaller second bedroom.
It also has a kitchen including full-size stove top/ oven and microwave. Recommended for families, groups of 5 or long-stay guests. It is very affordable and comfortable for a family!
E-Bike Hire
Get ready to be captivated by the sights and scenes that Kangaroo Island has to offer seeing it is one part but experiencing it on a bike is simply amazing. Come and pick up your e-bike from the Seaview Motel and begin your self-guided journey along their mapped cycling route through the beautiful surrounds of Kingscote.
Ride the scenic coastal trail through to Brownlow Beach. Visit Clifford’s Honey Farm, the Bay of Shoals Winery, Hope Cottage, Fine Art Kangaroo Island, and the Kangaroo Island Brewery, to name a few.
