The 1.3-kilometre walk gives visitors a unique, night-time viewing experience of outstanding natural features such as Orphan Rock, Witches Leap, Katoomba Falls and Katoomba Cascades. At certain vantage points, the Three Sisters can be seen in light.

The experience connects other previously lit areas and has new lighting from the top of the Katoomba Falls Kiosk car park, around Reid’s Plateau and down to the Duke and Duchess lookout.

All the lights turn on at dusk, floodlights are turned off at 10.30 pm and path lights at 11 pm.

Disclaimer: Please be aware that two small sections of lights along the Katoomba Falls Night Lit Walk have been impacted by recent wet weather and are not functioning as expected. While efforts are being made to restore full illumination, visitors should take extra precautions and come prepared when exploring here after dark.

Recommendations for Night Visitors are to bring a reliable flashlight to ensure clear visibility along the paths. Plus wear sturdy, non-slip footwear for safe walking.

Enjoy the breathtaking beauty of Katoomba Falls by night, but please take care and plan ahead for a safe and enjoyable adventure!
