Visit Lake Mountain, Melbourne’s closest snow resort, with its picturesque chalets overlooking the mountains surrounded by miles of cross-country ski tracks and toboggan fields. Make a snowman, try tobogganing, take a cross-country ski lesson or just throw some snowballs!

The bus drives right up to the snow so there’s no need to take any ski lifts or transfer buses. Once on the mountain, you’ll have three hours to marvel at the beauty and revel in snow play, jump on the thrilling tube run, shoot down exhilarating toboggan slopes and explore the network of world-class cross-country ski trails.

When you’re done with the snow, you’ll visit the stunning Steavenson Waterfall in Marysville, some of the tallest in Victoria, before getting your taste buds tingling with a stop off at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery.

Snow Play Time at Lake Mountain

Enjoy three hours of snow fun for the whole family, with plenty of time to arrange a ski lesson or venture down one of the toboggan slopes for those thrill seekers.

Lake Mountain Alpine Resort is the closest snowfields with extraordinary views, nearly 40 kilometres of cross-country ski trails to explore, three toboggan runs, flying fox, tube run and a dedicated snowman park.

(Please note as per 2024, there will be ticketed access to the Village toboggan run and Mini toboggan run).

Marysville, Steavenson Waterfalls Walk

Take a short nature walk to the base of Steavenson Falls, and see this awe-inspiring 84 metre waterfall as it cascades towards the township of Marysville.

Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice-Creamery

Cruise home via the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery. Here you can watch the art of chocolate making and indulge in tasting samples.
