Lavender House Perfumery is nestled in the beautiful Tamar River Valley at Rowella, on the Tamar Valley Wine Route.
The Perfumery is Tasmania’s only working perfumery. Established for thirty years, it is a niche and unique business that manufactures world class natural lavender, and rose products including perfumes, skin and body care, therapeutic and aromatherapy products, home care and gourmet teas, inspired by the love of lavender, roses, herbs and essential oils.
The gardens are packed with premium lavender, French heirloom and Turkish roses and other botanicals that are grown using organic and sustainable farming methods. These are harvested, dried, distilled and used throughout the product range.
Visitors are welcome to enjoy the gardens, sample the extensive range of premium products, and chat with them about the products, perfumes and plants.
Visitors can smell the different lavender cultivars, roses and herbs in season and view scent extraction methods, including enfleurage, drying and distillation in the beautiful Turkish Copper Stills.
Lavender House Perfumery is located at Rowella, a 35 minute drive north of Launceston. It is close to Beaconsfield, Beauty Point, Hillwood, and the Batman Bridge and is an easy round trip from Launceston seeing both sides of the scenic Tamar River.
