Laidley township will shine on Saturday 18 April and come to life with markets, music and horse and carriage rides. Visit the Das Neumann Haus museum and hear the stories of the Neumann family as they raised a family there. Enjoy a Billy Tea while watching a damper demonstration, then have a stroll through the markets.
A short drive away is the Laidley Pioneer Village & Museum. Immerse yourself in the first historical village of it’s type in Queensland, established in 1972. Don’t miss the vintage cars and farm machinery, Small Engine display, working Blacksmith and wood working display, freshly cooked damper, sheep shearing, and Highland Dancers and much more.. food and drink will be available to purchase.
On Sunday head over to Gatton, the Gatton & District Historical Village welcomes visitors to tour the Village. Hop on the Hay bale tractor for a ride, or view the Laidley Antique Motorcycle Club with 40 vintage bikes. Enjoy the sausage sizzle, burgers and a coffee van on site for your convenience.
Just across Lake Apex is the Queensland Transport Museum Open Day. Discover a powerful exhibition of original military vehicles dating back to World War 1, showcasing remarkable engineering and real stories of service, endurance and innovation.
