The Macclesfield ANZAC Memorial Gardens is a three-acre native garden built by local veterans for veterans and the local community.
It provides a peaceful setting for reflection and commemoration for all the men and women from the Macclesfield District who served the nation.
Paved walking trails wind their way through the garden and contain the names of all those who have served throughout all conflicts and peacetime. The trails take you past monuments, memorials and artworks that pay tribute to the service and sacrifices made.
The local military history is preserved and presented with storyboards and digital access to the Virtual War Memorial Australia. Regular commemoration services are held for significant anniversaries and events with provisions for family tributes.
An ashes scattering ground provides a fitting location for a veteran to be placed to rest amongst their mates and provides families a dignified setting to remember their loved ones.
Guided tours for groups can be arranged by appointment.
