Starting from the Maleny Showgrounds, this tour wends its way along the Obi Obi Creek pathway and onto Maleny Commons to the Platypus viewing platform where, if you are quiet enough, you may get to see these elusive creatures. Then ride their e-bikes out to Mary Cairncross Park, stopping to check out the beautiful Glasshouse Mountains. Their return to the Showgrounds takes you through the idyllic countryside that surrounds Maleny. This is an easy ride and takes around two hours.

Platypus Viewing Platform (Maleny)
This is a tree-shaded boardwalk with a number of platforms where you could view a platypus from should get lucky. At times you can also see turtles, water dragons and bright azure kingfishers. These enchanting creatures make this place a delight for people or all ages.
The Obi Obi Boardwalk is part of the Maleny Trail Circuit established as part of the Maleny Community Precinct. The full circuit is 6.7km starting at the Maleny Showgrounds.
Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve
Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve comprises 55 hectares of subtropical rainforest overlooking the Glass House Mountains landscape. A remnant of the rainforests that once covered the Blackall Range, the reserve is a living museum of diverse plant and animal life that will delight with its tranquillity and beauty.
