Marrickville has been named one of the coolest suburbs in the world and there is no better way to experience it than through some ‘bite-seeing’ on a food tour.
The Marrickville Munch walking tour will take you through some of the neighbourhood’s most famous eats, plus a few surprises that are ‘kept under the cloche’!
Marrickville is the centre of the independent beer scene in Sydney with multiple breweries, distilleries, live music venues, art spaces and of course food offerings. They are often housed in former industrial warehousing. It’s kinda like Sydney’s version of Brooklyn in New York.
Like most of Sydney, all the great drink and food is underpinned by the area’s strong multicultural influence. There are plenty of nationalities represented, but Marrickville is predominantly the Vietnamese, Portguese and Greek immigrants that settled here in the last 70 years or so. This combination makes Marrickville vibrant, delicious and the perfect place for some bite-seeing!
