McCaffrey’s Estate is a picturesque Hunter Valley winery located in the heart of Pokolbin, just two hours north of Sydney.
Guests can enjoy stunning views of the family-owned and operated vineyard while staying in one of the self-contained two-bedroom cottages. The cottages are ideal for a relaxing break in the countryside or to attend one of the many popular concerts.
The cottages come with a fully-equipped kitchen, air conditioning and an outdoor saltwater swimming pool to enjoy during the summer. The living rooms come with a slow-combustion fireplace, providing comfortable heating and a lovely ambience on a cool winter evening. Guests can also enjoy outdoor fire pits to stay warm and stargaze with a glass of wine on winter nights.
Guests can have an outdoor meal on their own private patio with a barbecue, surrounded by vineyard views. They can wander through the vines or watch the sunset over the dam.
A complimentary breakfast hamper with eggs, bacon, milk, bread, condiments, and a selection of cereals is included for guests to prepare their breakfast in the kitchen.
There are award-winning restaurants, a microbrewery and cellar doors within walking distance. The McCaffrey’s Estate staff can also assist with recommendations for tour providers, sightseeing, restaurant recommendations and concert transfers.
Visitors can enjoy a wine tasting, as the cellar door is open daily.

Cabernet Cottage
Cabernet Cottage is self-contained with two bedrooms. Bedroom one has a queen size bed. Bedroom two has a hotel king bed which can be made up as a king bed or twin beds.
The cottage has a slow combustion wood burning fire, and electric blankets for cool winter nights. There is also reverse-cycle air-conditioning in the open-plan living room. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove top, oven, microwave and full-size fridge. There is a gas barbeque and your own outdoor dining area on the rear verandah. When dining outside you can enjoy the glorious view of the sun setting over the vineyard. Cabernet Cottage is set behind a small section of vineyard, planted with cabernet sauvignon vines.
Parking is adjacent to the cottage accommodation.
Merlot Cottage
Merlot Cottage is a self-contained cottage with two bedrooms, each with double beds. It has a large living area, with a slow combustion wood burning fire and reverse cycle air-conditioning. The cottage also has ceiling fans in each bedroom, for the warm weather, and electric blankets for cool winter nights.
The kitchen is fully equipped with stovetop, microwave and fridge. Or, you can enjoy dining outside on your private patio, which has a gas barbeque and outdoor dining setting. The self-contained cottage is set behind established shrubs, giving lots of privacy and views through the olive grove to the Merlot vineyard.
Parking is adjacent to the cottage.
