Discover the great food and wine of the McLaren Vale region on a personalised day tour with hosted wine tour guide.

Spend the day wining and dining in McLaren Vale, taste local wines and produce at a mix of iconic and boutique wineries such as d’Arenberg Cube, Dandelion, Beckers and Molly Dookers. Our lunch destination is the charming Salopian Inn (or similar), then depending on your appetite, the afternoon will proceed with more wine or artisan produce tastings – perhaps Primo Estate, Wirra Wirra and Penny’s Hill, or further exploration through the hills or along the coast.

Operates: Daily by arrangement 9am to 5pm. Where possible we tailor make the tour to suit each clients interests.

Itinerary highlights

Samuels Gorge

On route, we visit a tiny small producer called Samuels Gorge, where wine maker, Justin MacNamee wines exude his passion for the wines of this region.

d'Arenberg

We then visit d’Arenberg winery, which feature a range of outstanding and innovative wines, made by Chester Osbourne from this 4th generation family run winery.

With breathtaking views overlooking the rolling hills of McLaren Vale, d’Arry’s Verandah Restaurant is the idyllic place for an unforgettable dining experience. Head Chef Peter Reschke draws inspiration from local and seasonal produce to complement the award winning d’Arenberg wines, and a selection of international treats. The extensive range of d’Arenberg wines is available for tasting at cellar door.

Wirra Wirra

We then go on to visit to the rustic Wirra Wirra Winery, one of the premium wine producers in the area. Taste their fine wines and tour through this state of the art winery.
