Join a rare day tour travelling through Victoria to Tocumwal.
Departing Southern Cross Station at 7:45 AM, settle into your compartment and listen to the engines work hard as the train climbs through the northern suburbs of Melbourne and into regional Victoria. After passing through the volcanic plains surrounding Wallan, the train will climb to the summit of the Great Dividing Range and pass through the familiar bushland of the North-East. All passengers will have access to the Club Car Moorabool with relaxed open seating and the Kiosk / Bar will be open throughout the journey.
On arrival into the historic railway town of Seymour, you will have a quick stop on the platform before the next leg of the journey. After departing Seymour, you will head onto the plains of the Goulburn Valley and steam towards the Murray River. Arrival into Tocumwal will be at 12:46 PM.
You will have time to explore Tocumwal at your leisure or dine at one of the many local spots.
After a pleasant stop just over the New South Wales border, the train will depart Tocumwal at 3:50 PM. From Seymour, the locomotives will work hard into the evening to lift you over the Great Dividing Range and back to Melbourne, arriving back into Southern Cross Station at 8:49 PM.
