Build confidence, create friendships and explore the outdoors in this NDIS-supported camp set in the beautiful Tamborine Mountain!

Access Adventure Club offers inclusive programs that help young people with disability develop confidence and independence in the outdoors. Across four days, campers take part in guided adventures with trained staff providing support and encouragement in a safe, welcoming environment where every individual can grow at their own pace.

What to expect:
– Supported nature-based activities, games and walks
– Group-based adventures to support social skill development
– Hands-on life skill experiences (cooking, planning, teamwork)
– Support staff highly trained in working with youth with disability
– Small and supportive groups
– Pre- and post-program NDIS-reporting and documentation

This program may be suitable for young people aged 8–17 and may be claimable under individual NDIS plan as part of Capacity Building and Core Supports. They work with families to ensure it aligns with your goals and supports.

Accessibility

General access

  • Offers multiple options for booking – web, email, phone is available.
  • Offers a range of contact methods for receiving complaints.

  • Accessibility information and photos, including of a bathroom, room and/or floor plan on their website (can be emailed on request).
  • Asks all visitors if there are any specific needs to be met.

Communication

  • Staff are trained in communicating with people with learning or behavioural challenges.
  • Uses Plain English / easy read signage and information (includes menus and emergency information)
  • A quiet space is available at the venue/ facility.

Allergies and intolerances

  • Caters for people with allergies and intolerances.

  • Modify their cooking and cleaning practices to cater for people with food allergies or chemical intolerances (could include menus with meals free from: nuts, dairy, seafood, eggs, gluten etc).
  • Staff are trained to respond to allergic reactions.
  • Complies with The Food Authority requirements for allergy management in food preparation.
  • Equipment to respond to anaphylactic shock such as epi–pens and defibrillator.
