Australia’s Biggest Little Fringe Festival is back! Widely considered to be the largest and fastest-growing grass-roots regional arts festival in NSW, this ‘little’ festival punches above its weight and is just a short two-hour journey from Sydney. Newcastle is connected by rail and air and was recently voted by Time Out as one of the most underrated travel destinations in the world.

Featuring a program of extraordinary creativity, diversity and artistic expression. With over 250 shows and over 600 artists performing at 15 venues over ten days and three weekends, it’s time to get yourself to Newy! There are international, interstate and local artists, many award-winning and touring acts from Adelaide Fringe.

A Fringe Festival is about discovery—whether it’s laughing at a hilarious adult puppet show, being wowed by avant-garde dance, or watching a burlesque that pushes your buttons.

The Newy Fringe experience is affordable, authentic and surprising, filled with fabulous dining, spectacular beaches and a hop skip and a jump away from Hunter Valley wine country. It’s the perfect, quirky, fun escape. You can even bring the kids!
