Newcastle Tuna & Seafood Festival will come to life across the full month of July as a city-wide celebration of seafood, local talent, and Newcastle’s identity as a harbour city.
Held in winter, when seafood is renowned for its depth of flavour and seasonal quality, the festival is designed to highlight and champion Australian and local seafood while creating a vibrant event that supports economic activity, encourages people into the city, and helps build a stronger, more exciting Newcastle.
The Newcastle Tuna Fest will include a minimum of seven feature events, highlighting the best of Newcastle seafood, while more than 30 venues across the city will take part by offering a signature seafood dish as part of the festival program.
