Seymour Railway Heritage Centre operates heritage rail trips throughout Victoria, and have been operating in Victoria for over 40 years beginning with the restoration of the steam locomotive J515.
Their itineraries include day trips, overnight and multiday trips enabling patrons to experience the regional areas of Victoria. Their tours include heritage train travel in carriages built in the early 1900s and the 1937 Spirit of Progress. The carriages include compartment cars, dining and lounge cars as well as observation cars. Some of their trips include the carriages with end platforms primarily used in State visits enabling patrons to experience rail travel of a bygone era.
They include local sightseeing from the train as well as off train tours arranged with local tour operators.

Gippsland Royal Train Shuttles
Join in for a fun day aboard the ‘Royal Train’ travelling from Bairnsdale to Sale and return.
The train includes the 1906 Yarra Observation Car with end platform, State Car 4 with end platform, Spirit of Progress Dining Car and other compartment cars. A kiosk is available for light refreshments.

Tocumwal Dinner Train
The signature dinner train to Tocumwal. Choose the seated dining option in the Spirit of Progress Dining Car including a delicious three course meal, or their seat only option. A kiosk is available for the purchase of refreshments. This is a great opportunity for friends or family to enjoy a ride on a heritage train.
The Dining option provides two sittings – with the first sitting between Shepparton and Tocumwal. The second sitting commences in Tocumwal. For guests choosing the Excursion/Seat only option – you can bring along you own meal or prepurchase a dinner box.
