Embark on the Ocean and Earth Expedition, a two-day tour combining RAD KI’s best marine and land adventures. From the crystal-clear waters of Kangaroo Island’s North West Coast to its stunning beaches, this immersive journey is the ultimate exploration.
Day 1: North Coast Marine Discovery Tour
Step aboard ‘Radikal,’ our 8-metre Zodiac, for a marine adventure along the rugged coastline. Become a citizen scientist, documenting wildlife and learning about the region’s unique geology and conservation efforts. Snorkel shallow reefs (weather permitting) and encounter dolphins, Australian Sea-lions, long-nosed fur seals, and Western Blue Groper. With only 8 guests, enjoy a gourmet lunch and afternoon tea featuring local produce.
Day 2: Kangaroo Island Land Expedition
Discover Kangaroo Island’s hidden beaches and landscapes, from pristine white sands to rugged shorelines. Learn about the island’s biodiversity, flora, and fauna as you explore its remarkable ecosystems. Enjoy home-baked morning tea, a gourmet lunch, and guidance from two expert guides.

Based at Stokes Bay, Research and Discovery Coastal Tours, Kangaroo Island (RAD KI) offers personalised and authentic marine and land tours on Kangaroo Island, providing a unique blend of adventure, wildlife and volunteer research tourism.
Owned and operated by local, experienced eco-guides Ro and Phil, RAD KI is driven by a deep knowledge of the natural environment and its inhabitants.
Blending citizen science and nature exploration, RAD KI focuses on engaging and educating visitors, facilitating hands-on data collection in rarely explored, ecologically sensitive areas and fostering a deep connection to environment and country.
RAD KI holds a South Australian Marine Mammals Interaction Permit, allowing guests to get up close and personal with sea-lions, seals and dolphins, and even enter the water with them under the right conditions.
