Mescal’s bed and breakfast is conveniently located only minutes from Taree and the seaside villages of Old Bar, Wallabi Point and Saltwater, with easy freeway access only two kilometres away. Mescal’s is a great base from which to explore the region’s many attractions or for a base if working or doing business in the region.
Experience beautifully appointed spacious suites, super comfortable beds and country breakfasts in a child-free haven. Relax and unwind in peace, privacy and style at this delightful sanctuary where the birdlife is prolific.
Your choice of accommodation is the Wisteria (queen) or Magnolia (twin) Suites, which include bathroom en suites, kitchenette and lounge/dining rooms; or the self-contained private apartment – Executive Spa Suite which is also available for longer stays if working in the area on a self-catering basis. All tariffs include full country breakfasts served indoors or outside under the wisteria-covered pergola. Morning/afternoon tea provisions are also provided.
Mescals caters for a maximum of six guests and offers a variety of accessible accommodations. The saltwater pool and barbeque area for guests are available and undercover parking and space for boat/trailer parking are also on site.

Wisteria Suite (Queen)
Beautifully appointed north-facing suite with a super comfortable queen-size bed in a spacious room with tub chairs and a small table in the room. The en suite bathroom is spacious and includes a heat/fan/light combination and a lovely deep bath with a separate shower.
Guests have use of a small kitchenette and lounge/dining area and private internal and external access to a paved, wisteria-covered outdoor area. Deluxe continental breakfast provisions are provided in the kitchenette for early risers or with a leisurely start to the day, enjoy a full country breakfast prepared by your hosts and served to your indoor or outdoor dining areas.

Executive Spa Suite
Luxury private self-contained north-facing apartment overlooking gardens. Fully equipped kitchen, lounge/dining, en suite, spa room and laundry. Super comfortable queen-size bed and quality furnishings and fittings throughout the suite.
Deluxe continental breakfast provisions are provided so you can have breakfast at your leisure and a cooked breakfast prepared by your hosts and served to your suite or outdoor dining area. A private apartment with all the added inclusions of staying in our bed and breakfast suites. Suite serviced daily.
Special rates are available for guests not wanting to use spa and cooking facilities. The En suite has a hobless double shower and grab rails. There is outdoor dining area under the wisteria-covered pergola to the north.
Magnolia Suite (Twin)
The Magnolia twin Suite features two super comfortable king single beds in a spacious room which also has tub chair/s and small table, private internal and external access, quality furnishings and fittings with plenty of room to move about.
The en suite bathroom has been specifically designed to be wheelchair/disabled friendly with plenty of room to move. Hobless shower, grab rails, pedestal basin. The bath has no grab rails. There is a shower chair, commode and walker are available.
Guests have use of the kitchenette and lounge/dining area. Deluxe continental breakfast provisions are provided in the kitchenette for early risers or enjoy a leisurely start and a full country breakfast prepared by your hosts at either the indoor or outdoor dining areas. The suite is serviced daily.

Physical – Mobility
Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids)

Physical – Wheelchair
Caters for people who use a wheelchair.
- A step free main entrance to the building and/or reception area (includes ramps or slopes with a maximum gradient of 1:14, otherwise are too steep for wheelchairs)
- Portable commode chairs are available.
- At least one wheelchair accessible parking space with wheelchair accessible signage clearly displayed (International standards are 3200mm wide x 2500 mm high).
- A wheelchair accessible bathroom (Entrance to bathroom must have step free greater than 5mm or a doorway threshold ramp not exceeding 1:8 for 450mm. Bathrooms dimensions must be no less than 2000mm X 2500mm. Have a hobless (step free) shower recess. Shower recess must have at least 1100 x 1100mm clear area for wheelchair access (no door). Have a slip resistant fold down seat or fixed seat in shower .Seat must be at least 900mm long.).
