An Annual exhibition committed to showcasing the work of Australian women artists.
Each year, Ngununggula dedicates an exhibition to celebrate the work of Australian female artists. This initiative was first introduced in 2022 with Kungka Kunpu, a touring exhibition from the Art Gallery of South Australia showcasing collection works by female artists from the APY lands. The Artist Circle was then formed, and they are a collective of female donors committed to enhancing the visibility and recognition of female Australian artists. Subsequent exhibitions have included once more with feeling, Together Again, and Tender.

In 2026, they will focus on the vital role women play within the family unit, exploring the various ways they gather, nurture, and share stories. Old Days, New Days | Arlta-imankinya, Arlta-errama aims to acknowledge the daily contributions women make to support their communities, and the observations they make in the process. The project will be guided by the artists and supported by the team at Ngununggula. We seek to provide a platform that nurtures the strong relationships between Tangentyere Artists, Yarrenyty Arltere Artists and Thea Perkins. The exhibition will feature existing and newly commissioned works to celebrate these relationships and foster new collaborations.

All are welcome.
