Located in Moe, Victoria, Old Gippstown is an open-air museum set across eight acres of parkland, where Gippsland’s history from the 1840s to the 1930s comes to life.

Wander through the charming main street, explore over 35 original relocated buildings, and discover treasures such as Bushy Park Homestead, Yallourn House, and Rhoden’s Halfway House – one of the last surviving Cobb and Co. inns. With National Trust-classified buildings, rare collections of horse-drawn vehicles, 1920s cars, and historic farm machinery, there’s something here for every history lover.

Interactive experiences bring the past to life, with school programs and hands-on activities including blacksmith demonstrations, butter making, fire truck rides, old-fashioned games, and the chance to step inside a traditional classroom at Sunny Creek School.

Old Gippstown is also a popular venue for weddings, birthdays, corporate events, and community celebrations, with picturesque spaces available for hire.

Visitors can enjoy free Wi-Fi and QR codes across the park for extra insights, make use of ample parking and nearby charging stations, and relax at the on-site café with a meal, coffee, or a sweet treat.

Whether you’re a history buff, a family looking for a day out, or searching for a unique event venue, Old Gippstown offers a journey back in time you won’t forget.
