Operation Art is an initiative of The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in association with the New South Wales Department of Education. The program includes exhibitions, workshops and professional-learning opportunities in visual arts for teachers and students from all schools in New South Wales.
The Operation Art program invites students from years K-10 across New South Wales each year to create an artwork for their peers in hospital, to help brighten their day and uplift their spirits. In this touring exhibition, 50 works are selected to become part of The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, brightening the environment and helping to lift the spirits of young patients through the healing power of art.
