A pretty parkside cafe in the inner-west suburb of Ashfield, Outfield is all about picnics (both the style of food and the scattered blankets available to sit on) and enjoying the great outdoors.
The eat-in menu features porridge, breakfast bowls and an avocado smash, while items such as toasties, bagels and rolls are designed to be eaten outside – surrounded my the trill of birds and the laughter of little ones as they run and play.
Set in an old brick building from the 1950s, complete with porthole windows overlooking the rolling lawn outside in Yeo Park, owners Caleb and Belinda Maynard have transformed the space completely since its days as a boarded up health centre and turned it into a beloved community hub – serving delicious CRS coffee, of course.
The team can also organise catering for larger picnic groups – just book online website with 48 hours’ notice.
