Peter Lehman’s Barossa Valley Cellar Door is situated along Para Road on the banks of the Para River. Built in the 1880s, the Hoffmann Cellar is one of the original Barossan wineries. Carved into the hill to allow the natural course of gravity to influence the winemaking process, the small winery still stands, its beautiful grand archway entrance intact.
In the heart of the Cellar Door, the stunning red gum bar stands proudly and has been the centrepiece for tasting some of Australia’s most awarded Barossa Valley wines for many years. It continues to welcome visitors from all over the world to enjoy a tasting and create memorable moments.
While the old stone building and verandah are a lovely setting to enjoy a glass of wine or two, it’s the surrounding lawns and gardens that make the Peter Lehmann winery really special. On a sunny day the picnic tables scattered under the swaying red gum trees are the perfect place to relax and share a bottle of wine with friends and loved ones
