The Picton Botanic Gardens was originally established in 1986 and features a number of Australian Native plants. Located a short 10-minute walk from the main shopping hub of Picton, Argyle Street and just over an hour’s drive from Sydney.

Picton Botanic Gardens feature picturesque surroundings with a six-kilometre flat surface return walking and cycling trail. The park offers free barbecues, wet weather/shade shelters for up to 50 people and bathrooms with disabled access. The park is on leash dog friendly, and if you make your way over the pedestrian bridge toward Picton Sportsground, there is an off-leash dog area for your pooches to play.

The kids are also taken care of with a colourful playground full of fun equipment. The playspace includes a separate children’s and toddler’s play area with an adjoining walkway bridge. The playgrounds include water play and sensory elements along with traditional play equipment. Teens, youth and young adults can enjoy the Ninja play course. This style of equipment offers an innovative approach to fitness and play, encouraging active lifestyles through an exciting and challenging outdoor obstacle course.

Parkrun operates every Saturday morning at 8am from the Cliff Street Entry.

Weddings and functions can also be held at Picton Botanic Gardens. Bookings can be made through the Wollondilly Shire Council.
