One of the finest quartets of their generation, London’s Doric String Quartet is all about inspiration, whether revisiting a masterpiece by Beethoven or exploring a new work destined to become a classic. Maia, Ying, Emma and John bring sumptuous sweetness and laser-like clarity to Beethoven’s rich and strange String Quartet in F Major, Op. 59 No. 1 ‘Razumovsky’, alongside a delicate intimacy in early works by beloved British composer Benjamin Britten.

Then, take an atmospheric walk through the streets of London with Alchymia, a beguiling quintet for strings and basset clarinet by British composer Thomas Adès. Joining the ensemble is Australian star clarinettist Lloyd Van’t Hoff, described by The Age as a technical and expressive master of his instrument.
