POP Canberra will transform into a vibrant, family-friendly Wonder Hub for the Wonderful World Festival, inviting children and families to explore local creativity through interactive activities and promote city-wide discovery.
Blending creative participation with local discovery, the storefront will feature an interactive collage-decal display celebrating the Wonderful World festival, evolving as visitors make their creative mark during the festival.
Kids will receive a Wonderful World POP activity book showcasing Canberra icons to spot and highlight fun Wonderful World festivities to take part in. This will serve as an interactive souvenir of Canberra and the Wonderful World festival.
A free drop-in kids’ art and craft station will run during the Wonderful World Festival, providing a relaxed and inclusive space for children to create simple artworks which can then be displayed as part of the storefront collage as an ever-evolving mini art exhibition at POP Canberra.
Championing kids’ creativity, POP Canberra will host a Mini Makers stall where families can purchase paint-your-own cookies and toys to customise created by local Canberra makers showcased at POP Canberra.
A fun and accessible event for everyone and a welcoming place to pause during the festival, share and connect through creative expression.
