Fish Windchime Handbuilding Workshop
Part of Redlands Coast AdventureFest

Inspired by the coastal waters, marine life, and gentle rhythms of the Redlands Coast, this hands-on pottery workshop invites you to create your own ceramic fish windchime using handbuilding techniques.

Guided by studio teacher Melissa, you’ll shape a series of ceramic fish forms that will be assembled into a hanging windchime – designed to move, catch the light, and sing softly in the breeze. Drawing on the colours, textures, and spirit of the local coastline, this workshop celebrates our connection to sea, tide, and place.

Melissa will lead you step by step through the handbuilding process, showing you how to form, texture, and personalise your fish shapes. This workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some clay experience – no prior pottery skills are required.

Held as part of Redlands Coast AdventureFest, this workshop offers a creative way to explore the region through clay – a slower, tactile adventure inspired by coastal living and handmade tradition.

All materials, firings, and glazes are included. Finished windchimes will be fired and ready for collection at a later date.

Create a piece that carries the sound and story of the Redlands Coast into your garden or home.
