A gold specimen found in the late 1800s by men ringbarking the property, led to the opening and naming of the mine, Ringer Reef. A century on, the Ringer Reef vineyard was established by Annie and Bruce Holm in 1998. Ringer Reef is now under the custodianship of Mark (Annie and Bruce’s) son.
Today, Ringer Reef is a vibrant and evolving family-run vineyard, winery and cellar door. On this spectacular and inspiring site, they grow and craft a diverse range of handmade wines.
Ringer Reef has a relaxed and welcoming cellar door and the family enjoy taking customers through the diverse range of wines. With a stunning view of Mt Buffalo and the Buckland valley, it is also a tranquil spot to enjoy a glass of wine with a local grazing plate. Also keen supporters of live music, they regularly host independent artists from near and far.
They are proudly cycle-friendly, with an easy ride in and a warm welcome waiting at the cellar door, just seven kilometres from Bright and 1.2 kilometres from Porepunkah. Riding out to the winery is a beautiful way to slow down, take in the valley, and arrive ready for a relaxed tasting. And when you’re done, they will deliver your wine purchases to your accommodation at the end of the day, so you can ride home light and happy.
