Rubicon Hotel Motel is centrally located in Thornton between the historical towns of Alexandra, the mountains of Marysville and the blue waters of Lake Eildon. Making them the centre of a haven for fishermen, outdoor enthusiasts
water sport lovers and snow goers.
Situated between the Goulburn and Rubicon Rivers, they’re ideally located to serve as your accommodation base for exploring this spectacular countryside, whether you’re fly fishing, boating, 4×4 driving, or hiking, Thornton has it all.
This family-owned and operated country hotel prides itself on the quality meals and fine Australian wines on offer, seven days a week in our 200-seat Bistro, with the addition of its own Pizza Van onsite.
The Motel has 28 units ranging from single units to three-bedroom family units. All with air conditioners, ensuite bathrooms, TVs with Foxtel, electric blankets, refrigerator, microwave, tea and coffee making facilities, toaster.
There is also an onsite Thirsty Camel Bottleshop, Tattslotto and Australia Post LPO available at the Hotel.
