Rupert & Hound is a vibrant, relaxed restaurant located in the Launceston Seaport precinct, offering bold flavours, warm hospitality and a strong seafood focus. The menu is modern and approachable, built around quality local produce, premium meats and seasonal ingredients, all prepared with care and personality.
Guests can enjoy a diverse range of seafood dishes alongside pastas, mains and well-loved classics, designed to suit both casual dining and special occasions. Rupert & Hound is proudly gluten-free friendly, with many menu options available and dietary requirements welcomed and catered for thoughtfully.
Families are warmly welcomed, with a dedicated children’s menu available, making Rupert & Hound an easy choice for relaxed lunches, early dinners and family celebrations.
The restaurant is also known for its lively atmosphere and carefully created beverage offering, including a selection of cocktails, wines and local favourites to complement the menu.
Rupert & Hound is open Wednesday to Sunday from 11.30am for all-day dining, with the dinner menu available from 5pm. Reservations are recommended, particularly on weekends and during peak periods. There is no Sunday surcharge.
