The Scottsdale RSL Military Museum was opened in October 2015. The museum contains an extensive display of Military memorabilia from the Boer War, World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, the Middle East and current conflicts.
The centerpiece is A2-295 UH-1H Iroquois helicopter synonymous with the Vietnam War.
This helicopter is the only one on public display in Tasmania. Visitors are able to sit inside the helicopter. The museum is open daily from 10 am until 3 pm.

Opposite the museum and also of interest are Children’s Reserve Memorial Park, Simpson and his Donkey, Kokoda Trail, ANZAC Walk of Honour, memorial tree carvings and children’s playground, BBQs and public toilets.

- A doorbell or intercom at an accessible height and display a contact number (accessible height is 900mm-1100 mm)
- A step free main entrance to the building and/or reception area (includes ramps or slopes with a maximum gradient of 1:14, otherwise are too steep for wheelchairs)
- Doorways which are easy to open and have lever handles (doorways 850mm or wider when open and not heavy).
- A wheelchair accessible toilet / shower and change room is available.
