Established in 1851, Seppeltsfield Estate has been hailed as the most historic winery and greatest showpiece in the Barossa. An Australian Tourism Award winner in 2024 for the best winery in Australia, and in 2025 entered the South Australian Tourism Awards Hall of Fame. The Estate has evolved into a tourism village offering wine, food, craft, design, art and retail experiences, with the winery and cellar door at the centre.

Seppeltsfield is most famed for the Centennial Cellar, housing the longest unbroken line of Single Vintage Tawny’s in the world, dating back to 1878. Each year, the winery releases a 100 Year Old Tawny from the collection, and visitors can taste this wine directly from the barrel on a tour.

Seppeltsfield Cellar Door provides visitors with wine tastings and behind the scenes tour experiences are offered daily (bookings essential). Fino Seppeltsfield destination restaurant is open for lunch daily. JamFactory Craft + Design, Vasse Virgin Olive Oil SkinCare, Prohibition Distillery and the Cafe are open 7 days. The Tiny Knife Shop offering handmade knives has now opened – see their social pages for opening times.

Visitors can also stay at The Lodge at Seppeltsfield – a quiet and secluded location, just a short 5 minute walk to the heart of the Estate. Ideal for an indulgent weekend, family gathering or a small corporate retreat.
